Miss Shannon Maloney joined the PSPA Dance Faculty in 2021, bringing with her 35 years of skills spanning all styles of dance as well as performance and choreography. Shannon has been performing, teaching, and sharing her love of dance as well as gymnastics since childhood. She was also a cast member at Disneyworld in Orlando, Fl.
Shannon began her dance career on the South Shore in MA, attending and competing with several studios. Her extensive background includes jazz, lyrical, modern, acro, ballet, tap, acro and pointe. While passionate for dance, Miss Shannon also shared a similar passion for gymnastics. She was a powerful gymnast all thru high school, going on to coach recreational and team gymnastics. Miss Shannon attended Dean College, graduating with a Major in Dance and Minor in Child Psychology. Her studies included Pedagogy, Dance Composition, Creative movement, and Dance Film & History to name a few. During her time at Dean, she trained with professional faculty members such as Nailah Randall-Bellinger, Jean Wenzel, Adrianne Hawkins, J.T. Jenkins and Jeffrey Polston to name a few. She performed and choreographed at many of Dean’s performance opportunities such as Coffeehouse Cabaret, Annual Scholarship Performance and Senior Workshop. Shannon was also an active member of the Dean Dance Team during her time there. She continues to share her talents and love of dance and acro here at PSPA as a valued member of our faculty team.
