theMulti-LevelAward WinningDance Teams
At Pembroke School of Performing Arts, we strive for a family-oriented, fun, and friendly environment. We emphasize qualified and proper instruction. While we are not “focused” in a competitive nature, we do feel there are additional benefits to be gained by attending and performing outside of our community and studio events. As such, and for those with the desire, we have initiated competition dance teams.
We are very proud that our teams have consistently achieved among the highest scores in performance, technique, choreography, precision, costuming, and audience appeal. As well as individual recognition each year in both regional and national competitions since 1989.
We feel providing this opportunity in a friendly and positive environment allows the aspiring performer and choreographer to travel and meet peers with the same interests. They can further develop their creative skills, evaluate technical and performance skills, and to set goals on a larger level.
Performances Garner Additional Opportunities
These events have provided our dancers with the opportunity to participate in the Elite Dance Team, Elite Dance Titles. Miss IDC Programs, Dance America VIP Programs, opportunities for TV commercials and other outside “national” and international opportunities and performances. Such as the All American Capital One Half Time Show with Hunter Hayes, Invitations to the Orange Bowl Halftime Show.
Alumni have gone on to perform with Disney and Royal Caribbean. Also various teaching positions including college level, and professional opportunities including international dance companies.
Our PSPA Dance and Performance Teams are committed to three regional competitions and one National competition in July. There are additional options for solo team members seeking more challenges.

I have been wanting to write this review for a while, but have been overwhelmed by the thought of how to put all of the wonderful things about PSPA into words. To keep it simple, PSPA offers incredible technical training, while providing a fun, family atmosphere that fosters a love a dance and sparks life long relationships. Although it may be possible to find other studios who also thrive on the technical aspect of developing a dancer, the ability to pair that technique training with artistry, strength, and a passion for the performing arts in general is what makes PSPA truly unique. Without the typical dancers body, or the ability to do a perfect split or 8 rotation pirouette, I found my self drawn to the professional dance realm both teaching and performing, and always thrived, impressing people with my technique, strength, determination, work-ethic, and artistry. I cannot say enough about this incredible place, everything it gave me as a child, and everything it continues to give me as an adult. My only regret is that I won't live close enough to send my children there to dance one day...but we will surely visit, and there will be dancing 🙂

I danced at PSPA from 7th-12th grade and had an incredible experience. The training I received here gave me a significant advantage when I entered the professional dance realm as an adult. Proper technique is taught and emphatically emphasized, but in a fun and family-oriented atmosphere. The friends I made during my time at PSPA are still some of my closest friends today. I've had the privilege of remaining connected to my PSPA family over the years and, as a result, have had the honor of watching the studio only continue to grow and excel with time. The sky is the limit for this fantastic studio and all the students who train here. Much love to PSPA!

When we moved to Pembroke we looked for a dance school for our 4 year old daughter and we found PSPA. When we first started there our daughter immediately fell in love with the school and the instructors! We couldn’t be happier with the school and the instructors we highly recommend them to family and friends that move to the area. The staff is so kind, caring, and compassionate. When you walk in to the studio you automatically feel comfortable and greeted by smiling staff! Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

My daughter Jillian danced at PSPA for 12 years, from first grade through her senior year in high school. Cannot say enough good things about Miss Kathleen, Michael and all the amazing teachers. It was like an extended family. .those years were filled with wonderful friendships, moments and memories. Jillian went off to to college and dance was her second core. She eventually lived her childhood dream when she danced danced professionally at Disney World for 8 years. Send your daughters and/or your sons to Miss Kathleen's and watch them reach for the stars and live their dreams.😊😘

My daughter has been dancing at PSPA since Kindergarten and is now entering 6th grade. The teachers and staff at PSPA are welcoming and top-notch in their instruction. The new studio location in Corporate Park is state-of-the-art. If you are looking for a dance studio your child can call their home-away-from-home and be treated like family then this is the place. My daughter has made lasting friendships and memories with her PSPA dance family and looks forward to dance class several times a week. She is also a member of the senior dance company and enjoys performing and competing with her teammates on the studio's national award winning team.

We are so grateful for this amazing dance studio. Our 9 year old daughter has been dancing here for several years and has participated in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and Acro!! She wants to do more and more with her dance friends and teachers because of the welcoming, patient, and loving atmosphere. As a parent, I’m ever grateful for the flexibility and organization of the studio and teachers. With the current Covid crisis, PSPA has gone above and beyond to continue to provide quality dance education for the students which we appreciate so much as some consistency, routine, and socialization is important now more than ever. PSPA has risen to the occasion and then some 👏
